Furthering pre-gained knowledge of audio from the general level, students undertaking this course participate in the complete installation and testing of a professional audio system for an event/production.
Building on previous knowledge gained in the general lighting unit, this course focuses on the skills needed to prepare, install and test a variety of industry-current lighting fixtures and equipment for a production or event.
This entry level course into the world of vision systems guides the learner through general tasks involved in setting up basic audiovisual presentations.
Continuing on from the installation and testing of lighting equipment, this course takes the learner through the standard processes used to record and operate lighting cues ‘across the board’ within the context of live event production.
This course has been designed to help the learner make informed choices in regards to correct microphone selections for specific applications and the management of audio signals generated from a variety of input sources.
Designed to suit the many different types of productions where follow spots are used. This course guides the learner through the skills and operating terms used to professionally install and operate follow spots.
This entry level course prepares the learner for work within the greater field of production lighting and sheds light on the basic requirements of a small corporate presentation or musical performance.
Participants are trained in the correct and safe use of a variety of hand tools whilst undertaking the basic assembly and routine maintenance of production equipment.
This unit deals with the physicalities of what’s involved in getting the show together from the ground level and how to competently assist technicians on the larger scale productions.
